Jeremy Gleeson will join Allianz Global lnvestors next month to establish and lead a new global technology equity team.
He will be supported by Sunil George, the current senior US technology analyst at AllianzGI, and will report to Virginie Maisonneuve, global chief investment officer, equity.
Gleeson has more than 30 years of industry experience and spent more than a decade as lead portfolio manager of the £1.2bn AXA Framlington Global Technology fund. He also managed the £602m AXA World Funds Digital Economy fund and the AXA World Funds Robotech fund between 2016 and 2023.
As seen below, under Gleeson’s tenure, the AXA Framlington Global Technology fund consistently outperformed its benchmark up until January 2023.
