Dominic Byrne joins AXA IM Core as head of global equities

Byrne hails from abrdn, where he was deputy head of developed market equities.

Dominic Byrne has joined AXA Investment Managers as head of global equities for its €508bn range of core strategies. He will report to Jeroen Bos, global head of equities for AXA IM Core.

Byrne previously spent 24 years at abrdn and its predecessor Standard Life Investments. For the past four years, he was deputy head of developed market equities at abrdn until his departure in April 2024.

During his tenure at abrdn, Byrne managed several funds, including the £220m abrdn Global Equity fund, the £75m abrdn SICAV II Global Impact Equity and the £143m abrdn Global Sustainable and Responsible investment equity fund.
